Born in San Jose, California, Sami Lee Woolhiser grew up in the Silicon Valley, a culturally diverse and constantly advancing technological hub. Working in painting, sculpture and installation she strives to represent moments and experiences by drawing and translating from landscape, aerial photography and her surroundings. She explores these ideas through a variety of processes and mediums varying from the traditional oil on canvas to 3D Printing technology.
Sami Lee received her Bachelors in Fine Arts in Painting and Minor in Sculpture with a focus on digital fabrication from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2014. She is currently working at ADX, a Portland Makerspace, as the Digital Fabrication Technician.
"I have never found making things to be a waste of time."
